Doc arrives in 1985 (1985)

Doc Brown turns up unannounced in the DeLorean and pulls Marty and his girlfriend Jennifer into a trip to 2015. The reason is Marty's future children, and it sets the whole film moving.

Set in Marty McFly's home, Lyon Estates — The Ryan Estates style suburban house where Marty lives.

Hoverboard chase through 2015 (2015)

In the future Marty swaps places with his son, and Griff's gang goads him until he is pulled into a fight and a chase. He grabs a hoverboard and escapes through the square.

Jennifer wakes up in the 2015 McFly home and learns that her future with Marty is not what she expected. She hides from the family and tries to leave.

Biff's dystopian 1985 (1985)

Marty returns to a 1985 that is not his own. Biff, rich and corrupt, has turned Hill Valley into a chaotic dystopia and Marty has to work out why.

Marty goes back to 1955 to change the one moment that rewrote his future. He secretly follows young Biff to see how the almanac reached him.

Marty follows Biff back to the school where the dance is held and has to avoid his own earlier visit. He keeps out of sight of the other Marty.

Marty has to stop Biff's gang from going after the other Marty onstage. He is trying to get the almanac back without ruining the earlier visit.
