Prince Naveen and his valet Lawrence run into Dr. Facilier, a voodoo witch doctor who plans to rule New Orleans. He lures them in with a street show, and Naveen's blood ends up in his talisman.

At Charlotte's masquerade ball, Tiana learns she has been outbid for the mill and spills food on her outfit. Charlotte lends her a princess costume, and a frog who claims to be Prince Naveen asks her for a kiss. She agrees, and turns into a frog herself.

Lost in the bayou with a jazz-loving alligator
Chased into the bayou, the two frogs meet Louis, an alligator who dreams of playing jazz with the big boys. He offers to lead them to Mama Odie, who may be able to break their spell.
